International Connection LLC provides vital admission, student visa and college success coaching to international students who study (or plan to study) in the United States. Our services include:

 

  • Assistance with admission to a desired college or university, which includes the following services:

  • Working with international transcript evaluation companies required by universities students have chosen to apply for 

  • Proofreading of admission essays

  • Providing materials for test preparations/registration for TOEFL/IELTS tests and other tests required for admission 

  • Preparation of Affidavit of Support forms required by educational institutions for student visa paperwork

 

Visa Support Services 

  • Work with the university on behalf of the client to make sure student visa paperwork is prepared and shipped off by the school in a timely manner

  • Provide assistance with filing student visa forms

  • Provide one on one student visa interview coaching 

  • In case of a visa denial, correspond with the university and student’s local U.S.

  • Consulate and provide assistance with the visa appeal 

 

Pre-Arrival to U.S. Workshops

  • Class registration workshop and how to choose the right classes for your major, to maximize odds of getting part-time employment and to qualify for scholarships from the school 

  • Workshop on to write a resume and cover letter in the format accepted by the school and present your life skills on your resume and cover letter in a professional way 

  • Workshop on how to choose the right housing and prepare for financial independence while in college 

  • 108 weeks of important dates and deadlines workshop 

  • Important things to complete in home country prior to arrival workshop 

  • Communication in U.S. Colleges Workshop 

 

Post-arrival to the U.S. Services

  • Airport Pickup 

  • Campus Tour

  • Campus International Services Check-in

  • Student Support Introduction to Mentors

  • Opening of the bank account and setting up of the direct deposit

  • Getting Hired on Campus

 

Post-U.S. Arrival workshops:

  • How to use your personal university page workshop 

  • Workshop on how to save $1500 a year on student insurance 

  • How to utilize Campus Tutoring Services Workshop 

  • How to successfully pass classes and correspond/communicate with faculty members Workshop 

  • How to save money and earn extra income in Rexburg workshop 

  • How to qualify for additional scholarships and save money on textbooks workshop

  • How to get employed on campus and schedule an appointment with Social Security Administration. International Connection representatives escort the student to Social Security Administration building and help prepare the required paperwork for the social security number interview

 

Additionally, the following services are provided on an annual basis post-arrival. These services may include:

  • Helping a student find the right medical/dental provider,

  • Coaching a student on how to network on campus and maximize their time at career fairs 

  • Coach students how to approach and connect with employers, 

  • Assist students with getting requalified for discounted insurance, 

  • Assist student with tax returns if the student will be in the United States for more than one year.  

  • Assist students with filing and receiving their student health plan refund

  • Assisting students with finding discounted housing, 

  • Check in on how the student is doing and provide feedback to the sponsoring organization through gratitude videos and personal stories of students in writing.

 

Note: Through these additional services, International Connection helps students save on average $1,000-$2,500 a year by coaching students on how to stay on top of their finances and helping students save on average:

  • $1,400 - $1,600 a year on student health insurance

  • $500 - $1,500 a year on student housing

 

Additionally, students who receive coaching are generally more self-reliant and financially stable compared to other international students on campus.
